200 series stainless steel belongs to economical austenitic stainless steel, represented by 201 and 202, with high manganese content, low cost, and average corrosion resistance. The 300 series is the most widely used austenitic stainless steel, with outstanding rust prevention and toughness. The core models are 304 and 316L. 304 has strong universality and is widely used in tableware, household appliances, and building decoration; 316L with added molybdenum element has stronger acid and alkali resistance and corrosion resistance, and is commonly used in medical equipment, seawater equipment, and high-end kitchenware. In addition, there are special purpose models such as 301, 302, 321, 310S, etc.
The 400 series is made of ferritic and martensitic stainless steel, with no or low nickel content, magnetic properties, and representative models 430, 410, and 420. 430 has moderate rust resistance and is commonly used for home appliance panels; 410 and 420 have high hardness and are suitable for cutting tools, bearings, and wear-resistant components.
In addition, there are high-end models such as duplex stainless steel 2205 and 2507, as well as high-temperature alloys and precipitation hardening steels. In the daily civilian field, 304, 316L, 430, and 201 are the four most mainstream models, covering the vast majority of daily life and industrial scenarios.
